Washing machine for Lital
Lital, 59, recently immigrated to Israel from South America. She has been separated from her husband for many years, and he and their two children live abroad.
Lital has a degree in psychology but has not been able to find a job here as her degree isn’t recognized, and she has no Hebrew language skills. She is taking ulpan and receiving assistance in navigating the job market. She is determined to find work and stand on her own two feet.
Lital suffers from chronic digestive issues and receives a monthly disability stipend. At the moment, that is her single source of income.
Lital lives in a one-room apartment. She has been very creative in furnishing it and makes the most of what she has; her home is neat and tidy.
Lital’s most pressing need right now is a washing machine. She is currently doing all of her laundry by hand, which is not a long-term solution. A washing machine would certainly improve Lital’s quality of life.
