Washing machine for Hannah

Total Cost - USD 308
Still Needed - USD 0
Funded - USD 308

Hannah, 58, is a cancer survivor who suffers from many other health issues as well. Her national health benefits do not cover some of her medications and shots, which means that she needs to fund them privately. Hannah’s only income is her disability stipend and that of her disabled adult son (who lives with her). This sum goes almost entirely to cover her medications and her son’s needs, leaving Hannah reliant on donations for every other aspect of her life. She is very organized, documenting everything that she receives and how she uses it.

Hannah’s 25-year old washing machine has now broken beyond repair. By law, social service organizations can only provide new ones for families with young children. But Hannah cannot wash all of her and her son’s clothing by hand. Though she cannot afford one, Hannah desperately needs a new machine.
