Chen, 46, is divorced and has three children, one of whom still lives at home.
Last year, during the Corona crisis, Chen was unemployed and survived on her monthly government stipend. This year, she opened a travel agency which is still struggling in its early stages due to the ramifications of the pandemic.
In the interim, Chen works as a cleaner on a university campus in order to support herself and her children. She is determined to build herself a stable and independent future.
Chen is extremely motivated and deserves our help as she pushes towards a brighter future. Recently, her washing machine broke and cannot be fixed. A new machine, which she can’t currently afford, would certainly improve her quality of life.
