Washing machine for Chana
Chana, 74, lives alone in her small apartment in Bet Shean. She has been divorced for 30 years and has two grown children.
After her divorce, Chana raised her children single-handedly, without any emotional or financial support from their father. She worked many jobs over the years in order to raise them with dignity.
Today, Chana survives on a monthly government stipend; she also works with the elderly a few hours a week in order to bring in a little extra income. Despite her efforts, she struggles to cover her monthly expenses.
At the moment, Chana’s most desperate need is a new washing machine. Her thirty-year-old machine is broken beyond repair, and she has been relying on the help of neighbors and family members.
A new machine would certainly improve Chana’s quality of life; a proud and determined woman, Chana deserves a helping hand.
