Benny, 62, is divorced, and the father of four children. His oldest son died 20+ years ago, and the loss still has a major impact on Benny’s emotional state. His other three children live with his ex-wife, but he is in regular contact with them.

Benny suffers from numerous physical ailments and receives a monthly disability stipend. He has heavy debts to repay and struggles to make ends meet. Despite his physical and financial difficulties, Benny is determined to stand on his own two feet.

In the meantime, his washing machine is broken and cannot be repaired. A new machine would no doubt improve his quality of life.
