Funded - USD 1,527

As a child, Natan, now 17.5, struggled to find himself. The oldest of seven children, he grew withdrawn and had trouble focusing on his studies, even though he loved learning. With support and treatment, Natan has learned to control his emotions and behavior and to accept authority. He is doing well in school, is developing socially, and gaining self-confidence.

His social worker describes Natan as talented, caring, thoughtful, ambitious, and with great potential. One area in which he consistently excelled was tennis. He played for seven years as a youth and won a many medals. These positive experiences were influential in helping him to mature.

Now Natan would like to train as a tennis instructor. He hopes that the work will bring a respectable, steady living while allowing him to help children like himself.

However, his father is unemployed and his mother, a music teacher, can work only part time. They simply do not have enough money to pay for the month-long course.
