Refrigerator for Ehud
Ehud, 46, has weekend custody of his young children. To this end, he tries to make his one-room apartment welcoming for them. This is difficult because his only income is his government disability stipend (his sleepwalking was serious enough to cause his discharge from the Army; a car accident damaged his hand and, he claims, led to high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and low potassium).
Ehud’s apartment contains only a small refrigerator, insufficient to store food for three or to freeze anything. He would like a larger one so that he can feed his children properly when they come to visit, but there is no room in his budget for a new appliance.
