Refrigerator for Bina

Bina’s situation is a sad one. 42-years-old and cognitively impaired, Bina spent many years floating between friends homes.

Bina’s mother suffers from emotional and psychological issues and lives in a nursing home; his father is also cognitively impaired. Bina has four siblings but isn’t in regular contact with any of them. She has no family support and is truly alone in the world.

Over the years, Bina has tried to work at odd jobs but always had trouble staying with one position for very long. She has been hospitalized for psychological issues a number of times and survives on her monthly disability stipend. Social services helps her in whatever ways they can.

Recently, Bina finally moved into a government-subsidized apartment. Unfortunately, the apartment is completely unfurnished except for an old, unstable bed.
Bina’s most pressing need right now is a refrigerator. No one can be expected to live without one, but Bina cannot afford this extra expense.
