Psychodidactic Testing for Tammy
Every day is a struggle for the Levy family. Dana has had had kidney problems for many years and has not been able to work. Recently she had an operation to remove one of her kidneys, but her recovery has been slow and difficult.
Eyal had been working as a temporary employee in various jobs, but now stays home to care for his wife. Although he has been clean and crime-free for over 10 years, his criminal past has made it hard for him to succeed professionally. The couple have five children, ages two to 16, and receive support from social services for food and clothing.
The school has informed the couple that their 8 year old daughter, Tammy, is lagging developmentally and that her reading is below grade level. The school recommended an evaluation to identify her areas of weakness. Even though the the cost of the testing is well beyond the Levy’s meager budget, they feel that the evaluation is essential for Tammy’s academic and personal growth.
