Oven for Shira and Binyamin
Shira, 36, and Binyamin, 43, are truly struggling. Their four-year-old daughter, Atara, was severely injured when boiling water was thrown on her. As a result of her injuries, Atara is physically handicapped and developmentally delayed.
Before Atara’s incident, Shira worked and functioned normally. Since her daughter’s injury, however, she has been diagnosed with PTSD and receives a monthly disability stipend. Binyamin learns in the mornings and works as a karate teacher in an after-school program.
Shira and Binyamin live very frugally, but they can barely make ends meet. Their most desperate need right now is a new oven. While it is nearly impossible to raise four young children without a working oven, Shira and Binyamin cannot afford this expense.
