Oven for Abe and Batya
Both Abe and Batya suffer from emotional issues that require on-going medical supervision. Nonetheless, Abe holds a full-time job in a factory and does his best to be a good father to the four children from his first marriage and the two from his second.
Batya is at home with their four-month old and three-year old, who need full-time care. Their three-year old, Caleb, has developmental delays and breathing issues that require someone to supervise him at all hours. Almost the entirety of Abe’s salary goes to his first wife for child support, so he, Batya and the two children survive solely on Batya’s and Caleb’s disability stipends. These do not cover the family’s needs, leaving them in constant financial crisis.
They need an oven to replace their broken one, but buying one is beyond their budget.
