Laptop for Rivka

Over the past few years, Rivka (27) and Benny (30) have developed a plan to restart their lives on a stronger financial footing.

Benny has managed not to gamble for several years and holds a steady job. The couple has been working hard to pay down at least a small amount of his accumulated gambling debt every month.

In order to save money, the couple and their two children (ages 2 and 5) live in one room in Rivka’s father’s apartment. Despite the crowded conditions, they do their best to maintain regular routines and a positive outlook.

Rivka is in her last year of school to become a speech therapist. However, it has become harder and harder for her to manage her coursework without a computer at home. Under their present limited financial circumstances, the couple cannot afford to purchase the laptop.
