Hydrotherapy Treatment for Chani

Total Cost - USD 634
Still Needed - USD 0
Funded - USD 634

Chani (10) is the youngest of her parents’ 10 children. It was clear soon after she was born that her development was delayed, as she reached various milestones later than her siblings did. She started in special education at age three.

Chani loves her school and particularly enjoys playing with her classmates. But she is struggling academically. She also is subject to outbursts of anger, and because of ADHD, has trouble staying focused in class. Dealing with Chani’s behavior at home has been challenging for her family. Her doctor believes that a course of hydrotherapy will help Chani to improve in all of these areas. But Chani’s parents cannot afford even the subsidized cost of the treatment.

Chani’s mother works part-time as a daycare aide, while her father’s health issues keep him from holding a job at all. Assisting Chani in getting control of her behavior would help her and her entire family, but they do not have the funds to make it happen.
