Boris needs hydrotherapy. It is the best cure for his ailments, which range from broken bones after a fall, to osteoporosis, blood clots, hypertension, and a tumor. Boris is a widower whose children don’t live in Israel; he is in touch with them and they have a good relationship, but they are not in a position to help him.

Boris is smart and able, although at 73, he is aging. He moved to Israel after retiring and has no income beyond his social security payments. He lives a modest life but even so, he cannot afford the treatments that would make such a difference to the quality of his life.
