Air Conditioner for Linoy
Linoy, 30, lives in a small public housing unit. Linoy keeps the place neat and orderly, but even doing this is an effort. Linoy suffers from a variety of illnesses which prevents her from completing daily tasks and from holding a job. With no family support, Linoy relies on her disability pension to cover her medical needs, the household expenses, and the living costs for herself and her nine-year old daughter.
Five years ago, Linoy bought a used air conditioning/heating unit to keep their small apartment comfortable. It never worked consistently and eventually failed completely. In the winter, the apartment is very cold and in the summer it is unbearably hot. An air conditioner/heater would make a dramatic difference for them, adding comfort to their very uncomfortable lives.
