Fridge for Talia and Uriel

Talia and Uriel have seven children ranging from 6 to 13, all of whom have special needs of various kinds. Both parents work as cleaners in town schools and their social worker attests that they work very hard at their jobs. Uriel was in a truck accident several years ago that left him partially disabled. The couple struggles to meet their children’s needs on their low salaries. Nonetheless, Uriel is also careful to pay child support to his former wife.
Talia and Uriel have two refrigerators – one has a partially functioning freezer but no refrigeration, the other offers some cooling but has no working freezer. As a result of the appliances’ unpredictability, there is a lot of food spoilage, which the family of nine living under the poverty line cannot afford. However, they do not have the funds to buy a reliable working refrigerator. A new one would have a positive effect on their quality of life and their budget.
