Fridge for Pnina and Ron
Neither Pnina nor Ron is able to work. She is trying to recover from an operation after a slipped disc; he has medical problems as well.
Their oldest daughter lives and works in Tel Aviv, but their other four children are at home. Their oldest son works, while the 12th, eighth, and sixth-graders have special needs and are in different schools according to the kind of support they need. The family lives in an apartment so small that the four children all share a bedroom.
The apartment is messy because no one is in a position to clean it properly. Recently, their refrigerator broke, and all of the food in it spoiled. Reliant on social security payments, Pnina and Ron do not have the money to buy a new one.
