Avi and Nurit, a couple in their 60’s, have struggled financially for years. Avi worked in a supermarket, stocking shelves and doing heavy manual labor until he developed a heart condition which limits him physically and scarred him emotionally.

A home visit revealed that the couple is living in poverty with a broken bed and a sagging mattress. A queen size bed is all they fit in their small apartment but a new one would make all the difference to their sleep and recuperation.
