Batia, 59, has never been married and has no children. Three years ago, she moved in with her elderly mother in order to help her. Her life is lonely and difficult.

Batia herself struggles with both physical and emotional issues. She survives on a monthly disability stipend, and there is certainly no money for “extras”.

Of late, Batia has been complaining about a decline in her vision. She desperately needs new glasses but cannot afford to pay for them. With a little bit of help, we can take part in improving Batia’s quality of life.
