Course Tuition for Sarah
After becoming pregnant at 18, Sarah’s parents insisted that she marry her boyfriend. But after the baby was born, he was rarely home, leaving Sarah feeling lonely and neglected. The marriage lasted only a year, after which Sarah moved back to her parents’ home. The situation made her father so angry that he became abusive. In response, Sarah grew depressed, unable either to complete school or to work. Eventually, she found an apartment with her sister, and a job, although with a very low salary.
Two years ago, Sarah decided to pull her life together, and with the help of her social worker, completed high school and all of her graduation exams. Along the way, Sarah became interested in web-site design. She started studying this on her own until she was able to take a course in the field.
Sarah came to every session, worked hard, impressed the staff, and upon completion, was named the outstanding student in the class. Sarah’s dream is to work in web design and management at a level that will allow her to support her daughter with dignity. To this end, she would like to take an advanced course that will then allow her to start her own business. However, even though she has regular work, her earnings will not cover the tuition for this critical next step.
