Computer for Tzippy

Tzippy, 19, is the fifth of her parents’ 12 children. Her social worker describes her as very intelligent, gentle and studious, with real drive and motivation. She is in her second year of intensive studies in a teachers’ seminary. For various reasons, Tzippy had to leave her family’s home. She found space in a group home but unfortunately, it is in a different city, about an hour bus-ride away. Despite the long commute and her many hours of schoolwork, Tzippy has managed to put in several hours a week as a counselor at an afterschool kids’ program. Her cost of living, including rent, commuting and food, has eaten into her savings. To make matters worse, as Tzippy’s coursework has increased, she has found it necessary to cut back her work hours. Several years ago, Tzippy was able to buy herself a computer, but it is old and has now stopped working. Tzippy needs a new one in order to continue her studies, but does not have the means to pay for it.
