Computer for Rebecca
Rebecca, 34, has been making real efforts to pull her life together. She has been clean of prescription drugs for six years, has gotten her anxiety and ADD under control and has been attending a full-time clinic to help her overcome her eating disorder.
When the Corona crisis put an end to in-person visits, Rebecca was able, with some difficulty, to borrow a computer in order to attend the sessions via Zoom. However, the computer came with the condition that no one else use it. This meant that Rebecca’s children, ages seven and nine, could not attend their virtual classes, and they fell behind in their schoolwork.
Rebecca’s only income comes from the disability stipends that she receives for herself and her daughter, who also has severe ADD. She needs support from social services for food and other necessities. Rebecca would like her own computer, one that the two children can also use, but does not have any room in her budget to pay for it.
