Tuition for Yaffa

Four years ago, Rivka was struck with ALS, an aggressive, degenerative disease. A formerly active, energetic woman, Rivka was the family’s main wage earner. Her husband and 10 children did all they could to manage her needs during her illness and help her as she weakened. Rivka died a year ago and since then, as their social worker puts it, they have been “picking up the pieces of their lives”. 20-year-old Yaffa is in her second year of a training program, learning to be a kindergarten teacher. Without her mother’s salary, however, Yaffa can no longer pay the tuition. She is not advanced enough in her studies to earn money (even if daycares were hiring during Corona), but cannot continue her studies without financial help. It would be a shame if this young woman were to lose the opportunity to build herself a stable, independent future.
