Computer for Naomi’s children
Naomi, 37, has struggled financially for years, but her situation became even worse after she lost her job at as a bank teller two years ago.
Naomi has a number of emotional issues that qualify her for a disability stipend, on which she now relies. The father of her two children does not pay any child support. Both her 11-year-old son and her six-year-old daughter are developing emotional problems. The lack of a working computer at home only compounds their difficulties.
A computer would allow them to keep up with their schoolwork, reach out socially and provide enrichment for them during after-school hours. In her current situation, though, Naomi does not have the means with which to acquire one.
