Computer for Julia’s daughter

Total Cost - USD 386
Still Needed - USD 0
Funded - USD 386

In 1995, Julia moved to Israel as a young child along with her mother, grandmother and brother; her father remained in Ukraine. Ten years later, her mother fell ill. In order to care for her, Julia and her brother often had to miss school.

To add to the family’s woes, in 2010 Julia’s grandmother died. A year later, Julia’s ailing mother also passed away, and the children suffered another very tragic loss.

Julia found it very difficult to recover from the deaths of her mother and grandmother. She was unable to hold a permanent job, and the financial stress at home was palpable.

In 2011, Julia met her partner with whom she had four children. Their relationship was one of verbal abuse and constant ups and downs. Today, the couple is separated. Julia does not receive any financial help from the father of her children and lives off the money she receives from Bituach Leumi.

Julia is very devoted to her children and tries to fulfill all of their needs, despite the financial hardships that she faces on a daily basis. Currently, Julia’s daughter desperately needs a computer as she started school this year. Julia wants her daughter to have the opportunity to participate in all of the class activities, but she certainly can’t afford this expense.
