Computer for Gali & David
Gali and David are in dire financial straits. David is on 100% disability due to emotional issues. Gali works as an admimistrator in a youth village but doesn’t earn enough to make ends meet. The couple has incurred over 200,000 nis in debt over the years, mostly due to poor fiscal management. In addition, they help support their 33-year-old daughter who is a single mother.
Gali and David have now joined a program that helps impoverished families improve their circumstances. They are slowly beginning to gain control of their finances, but they have a long road ahead. Their income now covers their monthly debt payment but little else. Gali would like to take on another job in order to earn more money. A computer would allow her to research her options, as well as give her the means to complete the assignments that the program gives her.
It goes without saying that the couple cannot afford to buy a computer, but it would be a big step forward for them if they had one.
