Computer for Eytan
Ruth and Gavriel are extraordinary people. Together they are raising 10 children in an ultra-Orthodox household. Currently, four of the children are married and out of the house. Their youngest, Eytan, was born with Down’s Syndrome.
Both Ruth and Gavriel work – he as the head of a yeshiva and she in a girls’ seminary. They are extremely motivated to support their family, even with the high costs of raising a special needs child. They are also paying to put two of their older children through higher education in order to enable them to support themselves in the future.
In addition to caring for their children, Ruth also cares for her elderly parents. Needless to say, this couple is dealing with a very full plate.
At the moment, the family has one computer. A second computer would open a whole new world for Eytan. He would be able to use it for his schoolwork and would gain access to a whole new world of activities and knowledge. It would make a world of difference to this very special family.
