Computer for Batia
Rachel and Tzion are raising seven children and struggle to make ends meet.
Rachel receives a monthly disability stipend and is unable to work outside of the home. Tzion suffers from a genetic ailment which limits the number of hours he can work. To make matters worse, Tzion was put on unpaid leave during the Corona crises which further complicated their financial situation.
For the past two months, Tzion has been working steadily. The family is getting by on his low salary plus their monthly government stipends.
Rachel and Tzion’s 17-year-old daughter, Batia, studies in an ultra-Orthodox high school. She is majoring in graphic design and is determined to build a career in the field.
In order for Batia to complete her degree and pursue her dreams, she desperately needs a computer. Given her parents’ dire financial situation, there is no way they can afford to buy her a computer. With a little bit of help, this impressive young woman can look towards building herself an independent future.
