Clothes dryer for Navah

Total Cost - USD 450
Still Needed - USD 269
Funded - USD 181

Navah, 48, is divorced and raising three children, ages 9-16, on her own.

Since their divorce, Navah’s ex-husband has not visited his children regularly and pays child support only erratically. This has obviously made life very difficult for both Navah and her children.

Navah is a very dedicated mother who tries to meet all of her children’s needs. She works full-time for a toy manufacturing company but, as the sole wage earner, she struggles to cover all of her family’s expenses.

Navah’s problems are not only financial. Her 12-year-old son, Ofer, has serious behavioral issues. By order of juvenile court, he was removed from his home and sent to boarding school.

Ofer returns home every two weeks for a short weekend. He brings home all his laundry, and Navah tries to have it ready for him to take back. It’s always difficult for Ofer to leave, and the smell of home on his clothing is very helpful to him.

If we could help Navah purchase a clothes dryer, she would be better able to get Ofer’s laundry done on time. This would allow her to send him off with a lighter heart.
