Bunk Beds for Tzippi and Rafi’s children
Tzippi and Rafi have six children, the oldest is 7 and the youngest are 1 year old twins. Both parents served their country and did full army service.
The family has fallen on hard times. After the birth of her twins, Tzippi’s medical condition declined and she is now classified as 100% disabled. As a result, she is unable to work. Rafi, who used to work full time, has had to cut back his hours to help at home. Having to raise six children on one part-time salary is obviously a huge struggle.
While social services helped the couple buy a new closet, they are desperate for new beds as well. They’re requesting a bunk bed with a pull-out bottom so that all three boys can sleep in relative comfort in their small room. It would be wonderful to help this struggling family in some small way. Yom Haatzmaut gives us an opportunity to help those who have served their country yet today are struggling themselves.
