Beds for Sima’s children
Sima, 29, would like to be able to pay attention to all four of her children equally.
Unfortunately, though, her oldest, Benny, 10, requires most of her time and energy. He has emotional and attention problems and is subject to violent fits of anger. He has many therapeutic appointments and getting to them, especially because Sima does not have a car, can be complicated and time-consuming.
Sima’s former husband is in prison and isn’t in a position to help financially or physically. Sima used to work as an accountant, but she lost her job because of the COVID closures. She has been actively looking for a new one, but it is difficult to find something with hours flexible enough to allow her to care for her children.
Sima’s children share a bed that is badly broken and unsafe. They need something sturdier and safer, and their social worker has requested assistance purchasing a bunk bed with a pull-out attached for 3 children to sleep safely and comfortably. This is an expense that Sima cannot afford.
