Beds for Ronit and Michael’s children
Ronit, 43, and Michael, 40, are going through a particularly difficult time. Both previously married, they have three young children (ages 2-7) together.
Michael has always been physically unwell, suffering from severe epilepsy. As a result, he cannot hold down a job, and Ronit has always been the sole breadwinner. In addition to working outside of the home as an assistant in a special needs school, Ronit also took care of the house and children as Michael has trouble functioning due to his illness.
Life changed dramatically when Ronit was diagnosed with uterine cancer. She is now undergoing treatment, and the family is surviving on the couple’s dual disability payments.
At the moment, Ronit and Michael’s most pressing need are new beds for their girls. At the every least these innocent, growing children deserve a good night’s sleep.
