Beds for Rinat’s children
Rinat, 47, is doing her very best to raise four young children (ages 10-15) on her own. Rinat’s ex-husband, whom she divorced years ago, is a drug addict. He doesn’t pay child support and has cut off all contact with his family.
Over the years, Rinat has worked odd jobs, including as a cleaner and as an aide to the elderly. She was never able to hold down a job for an extended period, however, as her children often needed her. She fell into debt, and now supports her family on her low income and a monthly government subsidy.
In addition, social services helps Rinat in whatever ways they can.
Rinat is a very devoted mother who tries to meet her children’s every need with the little she has. Their three-room apartment is sparsely furnished, and Rinat sleeps on the living room couch.
Rinat’s most desperate need right now are new beds for her children. They are currently sleeping on old, broken, unstable beds. Every growing child deserves a good night’s sleep.
