Beds for Miriam and Rachel
Lital, 37, and Yaakov, 38, are trying their upmost to support their family, but they need a helping hand.
Yaakov moved to Israel from France at the age of 19 and served in the IDF as a lone soldier. Today, he works as a school security guard.
Lital immigrated to Israel from South American at the age of 18 and works as an assistant in a day care center.
The couple has four children, ages 1.5 – 14. The family lives in a small three room apartment; the oldest son sleeps in the hallway as there is no other space for him.
Lital and Yaakov’s 10-year-old daughter, Miriam, suffers from juvenile diabetes; her condition is very unstable, and she needs to get up three times a night to check her sugar level. In addition, she often wets her bed.
At the moment, Miriam shares a bed with her younger sister, Rachel. Because of Miriam’s medical condition, this is an untenable situation.
If Lital and Yaakov could get help buying a pull out bed for the two girls, they could all be assured a better night’s sleep.
