Beds for Meital and Reuven’s children

Total Cost - USD 1,527
Still Needed - USD 0
Funded - USD 1,527

Meital, 31, and Reuven, 34, are going through a very rough time. The couple has five children, ages 1-8. Three of the children have severe sensory issues that impact their daily functioning. In addition, their middle child is being evaluated for autism.

Meital worked until her youngest child was born. After this last birth, Meital was diagnosed with postpartum depression. She tried to go back to work and had to quit after six weeks.

Reuven was working as a cleaner but when Meital’s condition worsened, he had to stop in order to care for the house and the kids.

The couple is deeply in debt and struggles to make ends meet. The children’s emotional and behavioral difficulties have further impacted Meital’s mental state, which in turn has caused a great deal of tension between the couple.

When a social worker visited Meital and Reuven’s apartment, she saw that four of the children were sleeping head-to-toe in two beds. This situation is clearly not helping the kids’ development.

If Meital and Reuven could get help buying new beds for their children, they would be one step closer to creating a healthier home environment for the whole family.
