Beds for Leah and Yair’s children
Yair, 31, and Leah, 28, both completed 12 years of school and did their full Army service. Yair now learns in a kollel, while Leah is at home, taking care of their five small children. Their only income is the small stipend that the kollel gives Yair each month. This is not sufficient to support a family of seven, leaving Yair and Leah struggling for food and clothing for their children.
Two of the kids have had serious medical issues that require regular follow-up visits. Currently, two of the children sleep in their parents’ bed, while the three-year-old uses a baby bed that is much too small for him. Yair and Leah spend each night on the sofa in the living room. They need real beds for their growing children but do not have the money to buy them.
