Gali, 39, was physically and verbally abused by her husband for years. Twice, she and her children were moved to an emergency shelter for protection. Gali and her husband are now divorced, and she is raising their four children (ages nine months – 14) on her own.
For years, Gali worked as an aide to the elderly. She is currently on maternity leave and struggling to make ends meet. Her children are sleeping on old, broken beds. They are desperate for new ones, but this is an expense that Gali cannot currently afford.
