Beds for Einav’s Children

Einav is struggling to raise her three children on her own. Now divorced, she suffered years of abuse and humiliation from her former husband, violence that the children saw and which still impacts them. Social services has helped them learn to handle difficult social situations and not to respond with the kinds of outbursts that they used to see.

Einav is a devoted, responsible, and diligent mother, involved in her children’s education and their daily lives. She is unable to work because of a combination of serious back pain and the need to be available for her children.
Recently, the family moved to a new apartment. The children, now teenagers, are still sleeping on old, worn mattresses on the floor. Einav would like to throw out the mattresses but has not yet done so because she cannot afford to replace them.
