Beds for Devorah and Baruch’s Children
Devorah and Baruch both work, but their incomes are low. Devorah is an administrator at the town high school, while Baruch teaches in a yeshiva. They have eleven children, all of whom live at home.
One of their four-year old twins suffers from developmental delays. She receives extensive medical care and support at a special school. At home, she requires full-time supervision, which demands a lot from the family’s resources. There is not much money for extras, and for Devorah and Baruch, even a bed for each child is an extra – something that they simply cannot afford.
