Bed for Meirav’s son
Meirav, 28, is going through a very rough time. She and her husband David divorced eight months ago, and Meirav is now raising her two young sons, ages 1 and 2, alone.
David has battled alcohol and drug addiction for years. Meirav left him while pregnant with their second child because of his violent and abusive behavior. After their divorce, David continued to harass Meirav, often showing up unannounced to see the children. Eventually, the courts got involved and supervised visitation was arranged. David rarely shows up for these visits and doesn’t pay any child support.
Meirav is struggling financially and emotionally. She is living with her mother, as she cannot afford to pay rent on her own apartment. She and her mother share a twin bed, while both of her boys sleep in cribs. All four of them share one room. Meirav’s two-year-old son has outgrown his crib. A new bed is vital to his continued growth and development. No child deserves less.
