Bed for Leo
Leo, 61, immigrated to Israel from Europe ten years ago. Almost two years ago, he lost his wife. The costs involved in his wife’s care when she was ill left him in heavy debt. Leo himself suffers from CP and supports himself solely on his disability stipend.
Leo does not speak Hebrew, and his niece helps him in many small daily tasks. He has no children of his own.
Social services assists Leo in whatever ways they can. His most desperate need right now is a new bed. The one he is sleeping on is old and broken. Everyone – no matter their financial status – deserves a decent bed to sleep on; Leo is no exception.
