Bed for Ivor
Once Ivor was a sportsman, and he made his living as a physiotherapist. But he was forced to stop working in 2013, when multiple sclerosis made functioning difficult. Since then, his condition has grown steadily worse.
Ivor lives alone with no family or support. He can no longer manage most basic functions of life; he cannot walk without help, cannot cook or clean his small apartment.
Ivor, 56, relies on social security payments, but these are not sufficient to cover his high medical costs, plus rent and his basic needs. Because he cannot afford a new one, Ivor sleeps on a broken bedframe. The mattress is worn and dirty, and he does not own sheets. A new bed will help him to be more comfortable.
