Bed for Eli
Tzvia, 59, suffers from several damaged discs in her back that give her constant pain; she also has kidney problems. She works cleaning houses and apartment stairwells but as her physical condition worsens, these jobs get harder for her. Tzvia’s four oldest children are grown and out of the house, but her youngest, 19-year old Eli, lives at home.
Eli is on the austism spectrum. He suffers from panic attacks, unstable behavior, and ADD. Tzvia spent much time over the years fighting for his rights and for the support that he needed.
Eli’s bed is broken so he often sleeps on the sofa in the living room instead of his room. He would be more stable and happier if he had a bed but Tzvia cannot afford to buy him one.
