Bed for Carni and Tomer
Life is difficult right now for Tomer, 35, and Carni, 34. Carni suffers from numerous physical and psychological issues, including psoriasis, fibromyalgia, depression and anxiety. She cannot work because of her condition, yet she is recognized as only 52% disabled and receives no government stipend. As a result, the couple is raising their three young children (ages 3-9) on Tomer’s income alone.
The family lives in a small, crowded apartment with minimal furnishings, most of which are broken. Their most desperate need right now is a new bed for Carni and Tomer. The bed they are currently sleeping on is completely broken and has to be propped up by random objects. It is a dangerous situation, and one which only exacerbates Carni’s physical ailments. A new bed, which the couple cannot afford, would certainly improve their quality of life.
