A computer for Lital
Lital, only 23, has lived a difficult life. Born into an orthodox family as the sixth of thirteen children, her early years were marred by a deeply disturbing experience. At the tender age of 13, both she and her sister became victims of sexual abuse perpetrated by their own father. The torment persisted until a year later when their mother summoned the courage to divorce him.
Feeling betrayed, Lital made the difficult decision to leave her family home. Initially placed in a boarding school, the arrangement proved to be untenable. Determined to overcome her challenges, she sought refuge with her cousins, where she found the support needed to complete her high school education.
Undeterred by the adversities she faced, Lital went on to complete two years of Sherut Leumi at Beilinson Hospital. Now, on the verge of a new academic chapter, she is preparing to begin university studies where she is enrolled to get a BA in Nutrition at Ariel University.
Lital has chosen to maintain no contact with her parents and navigate her educational journey without any financial assistance from others. Right now Lital needs a laptop to be able to complete her studies. Let’s help Lital receive the support she needs to be successful!
